Best Hotel in Sapa With a Beautiful View of the Rice Fields and Pool

Wondering where to stay in Sapa? We absolutely loved this hotel in Sapa with a gorgeous view and pool.

If you’re looking for a beautiful hotel in Sapa that’s easy on your wallet, you’ll want to go to Sapa Eco Bungalows & Spa where Mike and I spent two really wonderful nights (during our 3 week trip in Vietnam).

There are a variety of suites, bungalows and rooms that’ll fit any type of traveler’s budget, their service is amazing, and best of all, you are situated right at the bottom of the rice fields. That means you will wake up to some of the best sunrises you’ll ever see in your life.

Check out all my photos from this hotel below and learn why we think this is the best hotel in Sapa.

About Sapa Eco Bungalows & Spa

view from the Deluxe Bungalows

Before going to Vietnam, I looked at several hotels in Sapa to stay at. The more luxurious were way too much and others within our budget didn’t have the wow factor I wanted.

Then I discovered Sapa Eco Bungalows & Spa, which really had everything I was looking for.

Sapa Eco Bungalows & Spa is an eco-friendly hotel in Sapa that has a pool and full-service à la carte restaurant. With how hot it can get here in the summer, the pool is a necessity for cooling off and relaxing.

It’s the best hotel in Sapa for families, couples and friend trips because of the various size rooms they have. For example, the Family Bungalow has both a single bed and double bed where as the Deluxe Bungalow (room we stayed in) has a large double bed, which I think may be possible to split into too.

6 Reasons Why You Should Stay at This Hotel in Sapa

Price

The Deluxe Bungalow we stayed in had the best view of the rice fields and the bungalow itself was gorgeous. It was very spacious and the bed was comfortable.

That’s why the price is such a wow factor in staying at this hotel.

We stayed in the Deluxe Bungalow for two nights in August, which was about $150 with breakfast included.

Last time I checked, the Deluxe Bungalow for two nights in August 2021 is only $100 with breakfast included. You can check to see how much this hotel is for your trip.

Unobstructed View of the Rice Fields

sunset view from this hotel in Sapa

The most amazing part about staying in the Deluxe Bungalow was the view of the rice fields. I can’t even describe how beautiful the sunrise and sunsets were with the rolling hills and purple hue of the sky. It was quite magical.

The Deluxe Bungalow is situated at the bottom of the hotel, which means it has unobstructed views, but the Suite with Mountain View or Family Bungalow also have great views too.

Any of the bungalows and suites with a view have seats outdoors to enjoy this peaceful slice of heaven.

Beautiful Bungalows

The bungalow itself was so beautiful and really felt like it was made with the environment in mind. Hence- the “eco” in Sapa Eco Bungalows.

The bed was really comfortable. The Deluxe Bungalow was quite spacious.

Overall, it was a really aesthetically pleasing and enjoyable place to stay that had everything we needed.

Friendly Service

You can tell the manager works really hard to provide the best service he can.

He was always available to answer our questions and make sure we were comfortable.

But the thing we loved about him the most is how he opened up Google Maps on our phone and spent quite some time adding in points so we could go on a custom hike.

I have fibromyalgia so I can’t do intense or long hikes so he mapped out a hike that would be perfect for us.

Access to Hiking Trails

Going on a hike through the rice fields right from this hotel is so easy as it’s situated right in the rice fields.

You can either hire a trekking guide to take you around, or you can ask the hotel manager where to hike.

This photo above is from our lovely hike in the rice fields!

Pool

I mentioned it really briefly above but the pool is such a nice addition to have when it’s really hot out. Not many hotels in this area have one.

When we went in August, it was over 85F or 30C every day so we would do our hiking in the morning and come back to lay by the pool in the afternoon.

The pool is really refreshing with the summer sun and humidity.

Fresh Food

Pho is always a good idea!

Although this is the best hotel in Sapa, it’s not the best restaurant in Sapa.

Nonetheless the food here was quite good and very fresh.

We really liked the pumpkin soup we had one night so ordered it again. The second night we ordered it, we saw them cut a pumpkin fresh off the vine and use that to cook for us. Fresh as fresh can be.

The food here is also not as cheap as you would find right in the city but it’s still affordable and homemade.

How to Get to Sapa Eco Bungalows & Spa

To get to Sapa Eco Bungalows and Spa, you’ll want to find your way to Sapa city first.

Once you’re in Sapa city, call a taxi via the Grab app. Downloading the Grab app is the #1 best Vietnam travel tip I can share with you.

The app will say that your trip to Sapa Eco Bungalows is only 180K VND, but in reality, it’ll be closer to 250-300K VND, which you’ll find out when your taxi driver picks you up.

We thought our driver was possibly overcharging us, but our manager at the bungalows told us that 250-300K is standard and the price is higher than what’s on the app because the road there is so bumpy.

That being said, it will be a very bumpy ride. Driving to this hotel in Sapa (or any hotel in the villages) means that you’ll be on a rocky road for 30 minutes.

Don’t worry though. The drivers are used to this so you are totally safe with any taxi driver you get.

On your way into Sapa Eco Bungalows & Spa, you will have to pay a road toll about 75K VND per person so make sure to have cash on you.
