H’Otello B’01, a Contemporary and Convenient Hotel in Munich for Urban Explorers

Before I discovered design hotels, I was all about Airbnbs. Hotels just didn’t do it for me, but now with more and more design hotels popping up all over the world, I have more options of staying at contemporary hotels like H’Otello B’01 in Munich.

H’Otello B’01 is a great choice for urban explores who enjoy design hotels because of its modern feel and very convenient location. Read on to find out why you’d want to stay here too!

Convenient

Easy Access From the Airport and Public Transportation

If it’s your first time in Munich or you plan on site-seeing in city centre a lot, then H’Otello B’01 is quite the convenient place to stay. It’s a minute walk off the Isartor stop, which is a great stop because:

  • you can get there directly from the airport in 38 minutes on S-Bahn #8, and
  • it has S-Bahn lines 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7 and 8; Tram lines 16, 18 and N16; and Buses 132 and SEV.

Walking Distance to Sites and Food

H’Otello B’01 in Munich is walking distance to sites like the Viktualienmarkt (daily gourmet food market), Deutsches Museum (science and technology museum), city centre, and more.

I highly encourage enjoying some pho at Cà Phê Ma (4 minute walk) and getting hot chocolate at Beluga Chocolaterie (12 minute walk) where you stir chocolate of your choice into steamed milk.

Comfortable

My stay at H’Otello B01 was quite comfortable with all the amenities I needed. My favorite part about H’Otello B01 is that the hotel is so well sound proofed that after a busy day in the city, I was able to relax and unwind in complete peace and had a great night’s rest. Because of this, I’d imagine the room would also be a good place to work or blog in!

Of course, a design hotel isn’t a design hotel without its clean lines and modern decor. Everywhere I looked, there were elegant and minimal designs that I loved. Since I’m in the process of renovating my new apartment, I so wanted to keep that chair from the hotel room!

Attention to Detail

H’Otello B’01 is really good at attention to detail from morning to night. At first sight, the breakfast looked like an average hotel buffet, but once I took a bite, I tasted the care it took to choose out such high quality ingredients. I may or may not have had thirds… The magazines in the room helped me stay unplugged during my trip but still entertained.

Lastly, I couldn’t help notice their stocked whiskey bar. Try the Talisker Single Malt Scotch Whiskey! It’s the same bottle I have at home.

Helpful Information

H’Otello B’01 is located at Rooms range from €140-170 (without breakfast) depending on the season. Check out their website here or call +49 89 45831200 for reservations!

I hope you enjoy H’Otello B’01 like I did! Thanks for stopping by. xo.

Like you, I'm not a fan of big name fancy hotels. I find them very sterile and very much overhyped for something so impersonal. And then when Airbnb came around, it was such a breath of fresh air but recently as I've matured as a traveler, I too find that design hotels are a happy medium and I am excited that more and more of them are cropping up! Will keep this in mind if Germany is ever in the cards and that dress looks FABULOUS on you!

I use that word a lot!--sterile, but I know what you mean. The maturity is a key player in my love for hotels now.

This is definitely my type of a hotel! I always prefer boutique design hotels to the big chain ones! I have bookmarked this one for my trip to Europe in summer.

The clean lines and modern decor of those design hotels popping up everywhere really draw me in as well. Airbnbs were always the place to go for a unique stay, but now to have the addition of helpful hotel staff AND a unique stay, it's a tough choice sometimes where to stay when traveling. I'd love to stay there though, that's for sure. ^^

This hotel looks amazing! I'm never a big fan of hotels so this looks like my kind of place. Also, that hot chocolate looks so good! I've not long got back from Belgium and experiences hot chocolate like this for the first time...soooooo good!
