If you want to know the main reason why I fell in love with Los Angeles on my third time visting there, it’s probably because I went with my best friend, Janice, who I haven’t seen in a year. It was my first ever girls’ trip and 100% one to remember ’cause we did everything we love: visit Griffith Observatory at sunrise, drink matcha lattes, and take photos around Los Angeles.
Our girls’ trip was ever so effortless because of our stay at the Hollywood Hotel. It was right near all the neighborhoods we frequented such as Silver Lake, Echo Park, K-town, and of course, Hollywood! Besides the awesome location, keep on reading for why you should stay at the Hollywood Hotel if you’re looking for where to stay in Hollywood, Los Angeles.

Modern Interiors Mixed with Old Hollywood Charm

When we first pulled up to the Hollywood Hotel and checked-in, we didn’t think the hotel was anything special, but as soon as we opened the door to our room, we were absolutely delighted with how modern and clean the room was! There’s wooden floors, an oh-so-cute white and black tiled bathroom, and let’s not forget, a very comfortable bed.

Janice and I are both light sleepers, and it doesn’t take much to wake us up. That being said, we both slept very well in the plush but firm beds at the Hollywood Hotel. I’d like to repeat that the room was very clean, and having floors without carpet (like normal hotels) made the room feel extra fresh every time we returned.
Despite the modern interiors, we loved how the hotel kept the old Hollywood glamour feel in the courtyards where we spent some time hanging out during sunset. The lights aglow at the night added a quaint charm to our long and intimate conversations.
Friendly Service
The moment I stepped in the hotel, every single staff member was all smiles and offered whatever help I needed. I really don’t have much more to say than that, but it was definitely worth mentioning feeling comfortable to ask for whatever I needed whenever.
Oh, on that note, there’s a tiny little convenience store within the hotel, which is, as the name says, SO CONVENIENT. You can get snacks and drinks here among other things.
Outdoor Pool
The Hollywood Hotel doesn’t have the biggest pool, but it’s the perfect size to cool down from a long, hot day venturing around Los Angeles. They also do a fantastic job of decorating it with greenery and vintage striped chairs that’ll transport you back to another time, or at the very least, give you a moment’s respite from the busy city.
Great Location
As I said above in the intro, the Hollywood Hotel was a quick Uber ride away to all the neighborhoods we hung out in like Silver Lake, Echo Park, K-Town, Griffith Observatory, and of course, Hollywood. It took no more than 10 minutes to grab an Uber and be in these places.
If you’re hanging out more towards East Los Angeles, I’d definitely stay here instead of on the beach or Beverly Hills so you can avoid traffic and get to where you want to go quickly.
Complimentary Breakfast
If you’re on somewhat of a budget or simply like free food, the Hollywood Hotel is a great value. Not only is it in a close location to so many sites but breakfast is included, and when I say breakfast, I mean full-on omelettes, fresh waffles, fruit, and more.
